Flynn

Octagonal Philosophy, the contradiction nature of human endeavors? What does all this mean? I looked up octagonal philosophy, which stands for a deep rooted principle that the client comes first. So are we the client? So we come first in our desires but yet we cannot fulfill our desire if it contradicts what we are willing to do for it. For example, Flynn desired to have faith but yet he had none. Why is that? Is it because he did not want to search for it? Or the one he has known contradicts his life style, because we was not willing to leave other desires for one? Flynn continued talking about contradictions in our human lives, where these contradictions correspondent to what is morally right but yet society or the individual would do the contrary? Another example could be that a person is in love with one but yet chooses to lose their love to pursue their physical temptations with others. It’s to say are the contradictions mentioned all because of our lack of willingness to leave what we most desire to fulfill our selfish needs. Just like our upcoming generations and the now society that continues to look to what they can obtain in the now to indulge in themselves, because the society or generation that thought of the customer as the other person and not them is long gone. Customer service is a thing of the past and a very rare commodity at least as experienced in Southern California. Or I can be way off of that understanding of what Flynn was trying to portray in his film.

Crop Circles

This is one of the most amusing and entertaining videos I have seen yet.
The way Lane starts from the simplest form and moves through increasing the possibilities is great. I will try to use those tactics in future debates. Even though crop circles are great productions and I’m sure they take time, precision and careful planning, they can be done by humans, as Lane argued. Just like when we look at Stephens realization of natures form, that by taking a basic mathematical equation repeating it several hundred times to form a simple but yet very complex unique form. That same realization was tactically executed in this debate. His counterpart did not have enough knowledge or supporting critirias for his argument. I have looked at several websites that potray and do their best attempt to justify reasoning of the crop circles. Even though I still don’t believe in them they can be very convincing and made the same argument Jeff Dave had but again they did not answer the simple questions Lane had without introducing extraterrestrials’ into the equation as their answer to the how they became about. They talked about the bending of the plant, the heat emanated, electromagnetism but nothing pointed to the solid fact of alien existence and creation.

Flame On

Mortality redefined

Homosexuality passionate love all?

Today’s conquest is tomorrow’s competition?

Cultural truth changes as culture changes with time. Have we changed for the better with time? It depends, scientifically, medically, literature and our ways of communication have vastly improved for the most part. What part or importance does the sexuality of one person have on what they did for history? A person’s sexual orientation, which is their hearts desire, influences what they in turn express out worthy. The notion that Nitche expresses about guild being pointless, could be because he does not want to feel guilt for what he is doing or desires to do, is ridiculous. So he is saying that it is pointless for a murderer to feel guilty for was they have done, why because it’s already done and nothing that person does brings back to life the dead person? What about feeling guilty for a mistake done, and the person seeks redemption, what then is their guilt pointless as well, even if redemption can be obtained? Why is it that our once great state could drop prayer from the schools in its attempt to separate church and state now decades later forcefully try to demand indoctrination of homosexuals to our very young minds? Knowing that these minds are very impressionable and are placed in a facility to what we thought to be trust worthy, principal baring, responsible, educators who are placed in these positions to partake in being a type of role models to our children. Why does the state oppose the indoctrination that teaches love, respect, and authority, and attempt to push an agenda that wants to teach tolerance of all kinds. We are being asked to tolerate homosexuality at this time. Later as the world continues, what other self seeking guilty pleasure will it ask its society to tolerate? Murder, rape, we are already tolerating the death of many innocent children. Why is it that as a society we are looking to please ourselves and what our desires are and not to look out for the greater good. The people mentioned in this film probably brought enlighten, inventions, and different gifts as individuals to our rich history. What do their sexual desires have to do with us? Why should we bare and have to accept their choices?

Zahir

“The Zahir stands for beings or things which have the terrible power to be unforgettable, and whose image eventually drives people mad.” Jorge Borges. Zahir has a demonic influence? Perhaps behind the coin is god?

For a person as intellectual and thought provoking as Jorge Borgas was, why does the thought of a mere coin entrap him? If it was some other person with much less knowledge as him could have obtained that same coin and not given it much thought to it and any more meaning than that of its monetary value and maybe on what they were going to spend it on after obtaining it. But why does such a simple object get such power to cause this very knowledgeable man such disturbing trouble? Is it the power that he gave it as he realized what it was called and what the meaning of that same word meant? Then in turn subconti9ously captured his thought and continued to relish in the fearfulness of the satanic symbolism that word carried? Did his constant pursuing to find the root of his disturbance cause him to be more and more disturbed as he linked more and more of the scent of the experience right before receiving that troublesome coin to the coin its self. We can train our mind to form illusions and with repetition believe that those illusions can actually be true, and physically find them true, at least to the person that is experiencing the disturbance of said such illusions.  Just like a person who lie’s and then continues to repeat that same lie enough to the point of convincing themselves, even if they cannot convince others, that what they are saying and continue to say is actual fact, when it isn’t. Another example could be a person thinking themselves sick. The individual could have very much pain and truly be suffering but when the physician conducts all forms of tests to try to find out what is wrong with that patient and cannot find anything it could be said that the person, could maybe be thinking themselves sick. I have heard, “Mind over matter.” That if we train our mind to think ourselves well we can probably help avoid getting sick or a much lesser type of sick, meaning  how we view and react to a cold or t flu. Know I suffer from really bad migraines and the physicians cannot find anything wrong with me. Does that mean that I think myself sick, I think to myself this is going to give me a headache and bam there it goes, I get a piercing headache? NO! I don’t think about it, even when I get a migraine, one of my eyes might close-up because the pain is too much and the light that comes into that one eye is bothersome, depending of what side of my head is in pain. Somehow I continue about my responsibilities attempting to overcome the knowledge and sense of that pain because I believe I will not let the pain overcome me, but I will overcome it. Hold on, don’t athletes think in those same steps? Why couldn’t this very knowledgable man overcome his mind from repeating an undesirable image or sensation? We learn by repetition, attempting to engrave knowledge, understanding and the functionality of things, why wouldn’t the opposite be true? The less you think of something and occupy your mind and time with something else, eventually the thought and image will be forgotten.

Mummy vs. Wolfman

Our primary nature of humans is the repression of death brought by the fear of death because we do not understand what happens after death. So as time has passed we have put much effort in and thought into how not to die! We have for years and continue to attempt to develop ways to keep from dying, mostly from illnesses. That is why we are living longer than our ancestors did and why the average 60 year old takes at least three prescription medications a day to continue functioning and prolong the idea of death for that much longer. This way of aging is mostly concentrated in our Western civilization. Some tend to think that from the moment we are born we being to die. Scientifically our amount of carbon begins to diminish the moment we die and so the body can give count of how long we had been dead to the corner examiner, as well as the calcification of our bones could tell that same corner how old we were at the point of death. The reason we cannot experience absolute death is because humans cannot experience consciously the absoluteness of death. There is death of the body which the priest tried to preserve back in ancient Egyptian times and we in the western civilization try to prolong. What about the death of the soul or consciousness? Does that exist? So if absolute death is not obtainable where then do we continue this realization? Some say heaven or the underworld, or like others we are our souls continue in a different form.  As a young adult I can tell you that death is a kind of fear of mine, not so much because of the unknown after death but mostly for the future of my children, who would take care of them especially my special needs son and how that will impact them. On the other hand worked many years in a convalescent home, long term care facility, and there I would speak with people that were ready to go. They would tell me that they were done with the pains of this world. They would express that they had either a good life, hard life or bad rough life and at the end it would be the same, now I’m just tired. They had their memories and were ready to rest. The manifestation of transformation from life to death experience could be taken differently depending on the age or physical state that individual has. If we do not appreciate time as we have it now and look at death as the end of our lives then we life as those who have no hope in what is to come after, even though no one has come back from the dead to tell us what that hope could be, or has there?

Surfers Mantra

Every ones in a while things happen! There is always a probability after enough chances are taken. Once in a great while someone will roll a seven, an odd number will fall in and you might have a winning. But again just like you said, we count of the times we have successes and not take into account all the many times we have failed. This game of probability is just like the string theory. Probability does not have an exact number but yet an array of numbers  or chances that our desired outcome can have. Our few successes can fall into the spectrum of possible occasions, which we in turn find as winnings. Prayer on the other hand, depending on who or what you pray to does determine if that prayer fall on death ears or of an answer that is least desirable for the asker and claim that their prayer was not answered, but we should realize that we don’t always get what we want and what we want is not always the best thing for us in the first place. As children we don’t understand how that works. My son who has autism is having a difficult time understanding why he cannot have frozen entries or take out every meal. He has grown up, so far knowing that if dad eats out he can eat out too, and if dad doesn’t want to eat what mom made he doesn’t have to either. 9 years later, and two physicals with lab and all, my husband has realized he has to lose weight, and when my son had his physical this year the dr confirmed not just to me but also my husband that if we let our son continue with his eating behavior he was going to have difficulties later on in life. This again going back to the probability, my daughter and I eat the same things my husband and son do but our weight is within our normal index, even though I am a full 16 inches smaller than my husband and I eat just as much as he does. The difference in the two equations is that my daughter and I add to our meals plenty of water and fruits and vegetables, which our other half does not. Now, because my husband and son have chosen to follow their desire to eat whatever they crave instead of being modest and eat what is tasteful and better for them, they now have an undesirable outcome. So as we go through this journey of modifying both their behaviors they have learned that it is not easily changed and not everything we want is good for us. Finalizing with, ‘NO’, can also be an answer. Not necessarily the answer we are looking for or care to acknowledge but what is handed to us.

Gumby Land

In an Age of Faith

For those who have believe untested nonsense and claim that what a man made hand would ever do anything for society or mankind is seriously confused and is being lead by the master of confusion. How can a manmade object be a reincarnation, like your said, “It’s completely nonsense.” If ideas cannot be falsified and must be rationalized, tested and then the theory or idea should be repeated enough to find its truth standing, if there is no truth to it then it deems its self false . Several believe systems have fallen into the realm of Gumby Land. Others with the same masquerade have devised them just for profit, unfortunately. Many have declared themselves spiritual with hope of finding other ways of spiritual help, concentration with the hope of reaching nirvana, to the point of attachment of fallowing a deception. This brings me back to Maya, the deception, false illusion of perception. Individuals fallow the illusion because they want to believe the illusion not necessarily because it is true. How can a piece of clay that has a mouth but cannot talk, eye’s but cannot see, and lack of ears to hear, be more enlightened and bring forth probabilities when it has no power to do even the basic human abilities? How can something that is manmade and could be destroyed with those same hands be an essence of spiritual growth? It is with much imagination and desire to be deceived that one can get attached to Gumby, a lucky item such as a horse shoe, rabbit’s foot, or any other item that can perish.

In search of the perfect Coke!

The real message about finding a perfect coke or metaphoric point of the film is to be aware of our surroundings and possibilities so that we do not miss out in once in a life time experiences that can transform or add to the fulfillment of life’s joyous moments. Even though not mentioned, it can also be portrayed by the birth of a child, moments of a wedding, not necessarily the big or small event, but moments that fill those amazing memories we are to hold later on in life. I have memories of my mom and grandmother cooking authentic Mexican food out of the very little amount of food that we had, take-out for us was a huge luxury that we could not afford. Now I realize how fortunate I was to have had experienced such great food that has not been able to be replicated once since my grandmother died in 1997. My husband has taken me to some of the best Mexican restaurants in Southern California and Nevada, but still with their high prices and attempt to come close to my grandmothers cooking, it does not reach perfection. I remember wanting to have a Bob Big Boys burger, and still till this day I have not had one and would still like one and am tempted to know what it would be like to taste what I so dreamed of as a child to have but could not afford. I’m sure I’ll order takeout from one someday. Now as an adult I have learned that even though my grandmother, who comes not from a city or even a town but from a hill in the outskirts of a town, could cook with very simple inexpensive ingredients a meal unlike any other. Now as an adult I learned how to appreciate what I had as a norm back then, my poor people food, that a rich society has tried to replicate, and at least from my experience has fallen short. I truly miss my Mamaria, and will always remember the memory of her simple loving ways and how she would cook for us, what I did not realize then but know now, the perfect sensations of tasty meals. It’s times like this that are cherished in our memory banks of taste, smell, and visualization that enrich our lives and can be found where and when least expected.

Alan Turing

Amazing! Wow, ‘Mother necessity where would we be?’ The necessity here was to break Hitler’s submarine encryption and in turn it also continued to bring birth to an encrypted form of communication that the allies could use to communicate without the enemy knowing our intentions and locations. I’m sure these encryptions are still being used today with much more combinational layers applied to it. These encryptions can also be the ones we use not just in the military but also in our new age of common technology. Just how we have come a long way with electricity discovered by Benjamin Franklin which runs most of our world today and who made possible the discovery and use of technology that empowered the development of what Turning brought to light and is still being used today.

This is a link to a document explaining the history of encryption and how it is, “one of the oldest forms of science.” It talks about encryption, its purpose, the different forms, how far back it has been traced to where and how we use it today. It also mentions the different people that have had their hand in developing and enhancing its complexity. http://www.giac.org/paper/gsec/1555/history-encryption/102877

Time Travel

Disney's Minutemen Movie time travel!

My kids love watching this movie that talks about time teleportation and uses light like the first time machine video portrays. Another movie that comes to mind is the Philadelphia Experiment, a much older film also about teleportation through time. the Philadelphia film did go into the futur and not back to the past like the Minutemen Movie depicts.

Light teleportation ports have been the main emphasis in the majority, if not all, time travel films, both past and present. Somehow we seem to mimic films, our history for the past few decades have been predisposition by films produced and somehow our creativity and development have followed. I find that very odd. What if we have already uncovered a way to look into somewhat, the future? Some call it revelations of what is to come, others presumptions, feelings of something different or odd that is to come, and others have very vivid dreams. Others, on the other hand can look at the development of something and foresee how that work in progress have an impact to its surroundings and others or the project its self. This brings me back to the Disney film Minutemen who depict a little bit of that sense as well as the Philadelphia film who depicts how the future changes or can change with the altering of our what is now our present but would be our history! This can also be displayed in books, many authors have written fictional books that later in time end up becoming true in some way or another, now I’m not calling these people fortune tellers because I don’t believe in those, but I’m sure they had some revelation as they were putting pieces together with was then current information and fictionally developed a probable, their story line, conflict and situation that later on became factual history.

Stephen Wolfram

Complicated math was used to define nature in the past, but when the behavior is being observed we found out more complex then math and could not be done. Until, Stephen developed mathematical. Mathematica, this program allowed Stephen to continuously run simple mathematical equations, repetitiously which in turn would form complex structures. What was an amazing discovery that it does not take complex mathematics to form complex forms but simple organized mathematical patterns to form nature’s similar complex shapes and arrangements. Yet again these are just similar models that end up having a definite shape and arrangement in its totality. Nature on the other hand has infinite shapes and arrangements within the same time continuum. Stephen talked about how, how is something changed and what gets changed or transformed first when the development of the snow flake, is it the extension of the arm or the release of energy that impedes the formation of crystal at that point of construction. Those where some interesting points, I can almost say just like the age old question of what came first the chicken or the egg? In observation of the phenomenon of these formations, who is to say that the mere fact that during that observation, the forms the observer is not in some way altering the formation it’s self. The heat that the object forms, to the coolness that is controlled, and many other different factors, like the electron when viewed, can alter the pattern, time of formation and its structure. This also brings to question the observers opinion on the actual occurrence and time line. In any case the development of Mathematica and the discovery and revelation of how a simple our completed natural environment and beyond are, is amazing.

Ray Kurzweil

We have developed and continue to revolutionized technical advancements to the point that
Ray believes that the brain will be technically replicated by the mid 2000’s.  I understand the radical progression of our computer intelligence and how we can attempt to mimic how the brain and body functions, down to calculating faster than an average human brain can, but all of these functions are calculated. They are pre programmed by an actual individual. Computers, even though they are essential and we can come really close to having them simulate human brain activity it cannot be duplicated. If we do not understand the brain to its fullest how do scientist expect to come close to duplicating it? Biological technologies are interesting and how the power of the technologies have helped us tremendously and now that we know what is possible with them we need to also develop ways to counter act any counter measures we need to protect ourselves from the possibilities. Being aware and knowing what can be done and having the knowledge to develop these counter measures is phenomenal. Developing the countermeasures of possibilities and implementing is outrageously amazing. Having the technology and the awareness as well as the ability to deploy safety from what we use and need takes great minds. Minds that I do not think can be replicated.

Mobius strip

The metaphor of a mobius strip as it is, is useful when describing the study of consciousness via the first and third person. Consciousness can be altered and when altered it cannot be turned back to what it was originally because it will have eminence of the  alteration that had occurred giving it a different, but could be similar, in imaging,  in story line, characters or roles. Just like with relationships, our consciousness has a role in how we demonstrate ourselves to others and how we treat others as well. Now with that said, our past relationships, like the mobius strip, once influence our current and future relationships. This could be with our experience of our parents, siblings, friends, classmate and our intimate relationships from our past.  That will relate to how we treat our children, future friends and or future spouse, for the good or the bad.  This also influences the probabiltiy of divorce. If a person has suppressed or changed their feelings or moral view of marriage and the sanctity of it or the lack there of the next time they are faced with a difficult choice in there live regarding marriage or if they should stay married or even get married, to their second wife or husband, the experience and ability to go through a second or third divorce becomes more common and easier to withstand. This in turn changing the direction of the mobius strip and even when attempting to reconstruct the alterations done to the original form will still have reminisce of the changes, damages caused to it. Leaving a permanent impression, just like leaving a scar, it doesn’t have to be visible to the eye to see that it does not flow seamlessly anymore but has that little bit of an edge that cannot be smoothed out without causing more damage at the end.

Patricia Churchland

Patricia Churchland’s explanation of our senses is pretty elementary when explaining that one neuron is not solely responsible for our sense of falling in love, but a plethora of neurons that develop that sensation of falling in love. Minimizing that we as humans are just the brain, just the functioning of molecular movement, that our brain is what controls everything and gives us the perspectives that we see. In a way it makes sense, each head, brain, is its own world. But then when she talks about morality, who knows what, is moral? Morality again falls within the realm of what that individual head has been exposed to and believes. Just like the Dali Lama asking top intellectuals to explain the brain in order for him to think about things more wisely. His religion of Buddhism, which explains how to live a life with compassion and honesty but did not touch on the fact of the creation of the world or is the mind is separate of the body. Even the best explanation of the brains function does not help with discovering what moral system is the most appropriate or make us any wiser in making decisions in life. Patricia Churchland’s explanation of how God is debunked from existence and the originator of function by pointing to the discovery of DNA and how very complex molecules work together is not a very good one. How did these very complex and fragile structure of DNA and how do the complex molecules know how to interact with one another come in to existence and function in such an orderly manner?

Disneyland of Consciousness

“That what we believe is conscious turns out to be in closer inspection unconscious.” I can see how this can be perceived.  When trickery of the eye in magic occurs, when others are skilled in the art of slide of hand and forming illusions that again trick the vision and mind of the observer to believe, if they did not know any better, that what they just saw or experienced was real. In this day of age we see many illusions throughout our daily lives. Illusions, perceptions and the deceitfulness of the public is what our unconscious is being molded daily. Magazine covers, billboards, tv commercials and all different types of multimedia seem to be conditioning our conscious, subconscious, and ultimately our unconscious. “We can experience this in our dreams as well as when we are awake.”  Consciousness has us believe our own imaginations. Sometimes we want to make our imaginations become real. This is when we are very aware of our actions knowingly injure our own bodies attempting to reach and achieve a perception. Perception can be harmful, deadly even, a self-destructive very conscious action.

We cannot always be Aware of each and every mechanical movement that happens in and throughout our body.  That would over stimulate our consciousness, just like we are not aware of many stimuli that is around our exterior. In this multitasking lifestyle that most of us live, we could just imagine having to multitask our heart beat, temperature regulation, fluid regulation, breathing and much much more that we need to make us function. The fact that we are not aware of all our internal mechanisms probabliy saves us from forgetting to breath or have our heart beat at the right  time proportion to the amount of oxygen the rest of our body requires.

How does evolutionary theory connect with quantum mechanics?

Quantum mechanics is the scientific principal that explains how matter behaves and its interaction with energy on a very small scale, atoms and atomic particles. Evolution is the change across generations, having these changes down to the molecular level. Both Quantum mechanics and evolution are cause of observation to prove their theories, mathematical or biological. Everything and everyone contain atoms that consist of neutrons, electrons and protons, this includes our molecular being. Our bodies are made of atoms which in turn form the molecules that make up our DNA. So if a single atom is changed or altered, the same will be for the rest, causing a chain reaction in our world or just in the formation of that one molecule. We would not know if the altering of that molecule would alter anything at all if it was just an atomic hiccup, unless that change could be observed at a grater scale in the cascade of changes that had set off. That is where quantum mechanics comes in and analyses how and or why it occurred and how it changed the host.

They both contain change to the host, an evolutionary change according to their respective theories. Quantum mechanics uses the string theory in the change, so the change consists of the direction the vibrating string changes. Just how the strumming of different cords in an instrument a change in the rhythm, tone or duration of the note could change the form and how the string is traveling. In evolution these changes are believed to be happening during DNA replication.  During replication mutation of the base sequences change to represents a completely different amino acid which in turn produces a different protein. Giving the creature, like the strings different direction, a different characteristic.

Extra Credit: Parallel universe with Brian Greene: The hidden Reality

How can there by more than one universe? Universe us to be the totality, but recently mathematically what we have thought to be everything, other cosmos can contain other universes. But how do the realms of the universe come about since we can’t see them or know them? Brian’s answer says that the math opens a window to those other universes. It reminds me of a movie I once sough about a scientific object that was develop mathematically and when activated it opened another realm to where this female explorer was searching for her father and met with him after his death in that other realm. Even though it was for a split second in this realm it seemed as time had stopped and allowed her to have a conversation with her father and say goodbye. Greene states that the math will be followed and they will lead us to the answer which will be observed and that will determine the reality or lack thereof other universes or realms and apparently he does not believe in those realms. The host also argued the fact that being able to put a math equation to prove the theory doesn’t necessarily prove the theory. I didn’t know that. This was an amazing interview from beginning to end.

Why is the theory of evolution important?

Evolution of the understanding of the world around us is important to philosophy because it goes hand in hand with the questions of “Who am I”, “Where did I come from”, and “Where am I going?” The development of our knowledge and understanding of the world around us allows us and the human race to question and draw reasonable, at least within our own train of thought, conclusions of what we as individuals end up believing the answers to the earlier questions are pertaining to ourselves as individuals. My mom put it really simple one day, when I asked her as a child, “Mom, why doesn’t my grandma understand and react the way she does when you try to be nice to her, you haven’t done anything wrong to her and yet she miss treats you?” This was about my dad’s mom miss treating my mom all my life. I could not understand why my grandma would take money from us when we didn’t have enough for the household and still miss treat my mom in the process, so I questioned my mom. She explained, “Mija, every mind is a world in its own. Everyone thinks differently even when raised in the same family by the same mother and father and given the same opportunities as their siblings. Each person makes up their mind to what they want to believe and processes the information that is given to them differently.” This reasoning and understanding is not very deep, I understand, but it makes sense. As the offspring of this remarkable woman, my mom, and a not so nice lady my grandmother from my dad’s side, the way I process and continue to evolve these processes to change the negative impacted learned behavior from my youth to a positive legacy my children will take on and pass on in their lives will show the evolution of the family tree.

Some of us don’t want to behave like our parents. I could say many of us don’t want to behave like our parents. We in turn evolve from that stage in life grasp what we as individuals want to take from it and develop in place other mannerisms that we believe are more in line of who we want to be. This in turn changes our behaviors and the patterns we teach the next generation. They develop their way of thinking and thus they evolve and change according to how they want to think themselves to be and portray themselves to others. All this can be linked to the theory of evolution, the development of oneself, from generation to generation this evolution will continue as we continue to be.

Einstein/Bohr debate over quantum theory:

Who won and why?

Why would Einstein assume that the God that Bohr believed in was a “God who played dice?” Einstein, on the other hand seemed to have wanted to be like a god form, proving that all had to have a reasoning that he understood and wanted desperately to find that seemingly tangible reason of existence.  As Einstein was battling with the fact of probability and spent a good portion of his life attempting to prove that probability should not have a foot in the function of physical state, but yet have an absolute value to the end of the equation. He had trouble grasping and accepting that individual events could not be predicted and only a probability could be derived. In a letter to Bohr, Einstein did admit his attitude in physics was unreasonable and also admitted that there was validity in Bohr’s statistical approach, but yet his inability to accept probability and desire to obtain the magical equation that would give him the absolute value.

Bohr in his admiration and understanding of Einstein and the thought process understood of Einstein’s unwillingness to accept probability as a solution to quantum theory. I do not know who is right at the end Bohr or Einstein. I believe that Einstein reasoned a compromise in his reasoning for himself as he knew his death was coming. Determining that Bohr’s Philosophy of quantum theory is more of a transitional phase than the answer because Einstein could not accept that quantum theory is not an absolute answer but a spectrum of probable answers. Einstein’s hope was that someone would complete and find the solution to his absolute answer.

On the other hand Einstein had a point not wanting to accept Bohr’s theory, because it was based on probability being a possible answer. I just learned that with probability we could adjust the table and circumstances point in the direction we want them to be. In other words, we can work the equation to say what we want it to say.  This is why Einstein was not too supportive of it, even though he was partially part of leading to that conclusion.
Who won this debate? We don't know, Bohr did get Einstein to consider that quantum theory could be a stepping stone to what Einstein would consider a logical and clear conclusion.

Death as a Black Hole?

What happens when we die?

Ultimately we decompose to the same 13 elements the earth is composed of.  We can get cremated or buried, personally I don’t think it really matters, as long as I don’t feel pain when I go I’m fine. Now after that, who knows? Like the link below explains 4 different religious beliefs of the afterlife, if there is one.

Some believe in purgatory, others a straight line to heaven or hell, and some reincarnation. I would not like to live again, at least not in this corrupt world. I believe that we have one God who created us and who is ultimately our final judge on how we live in this world. Do I justify my actions and measure myself with others and just say, ‘Well I’m an ok person because I’m better than.,’ I try not to because if there really is a God at the end I don’t want to be measured with the same stick as I have measured, judged others. So I try not to do that, even though it is hard sometimes and I do fall into that horrible rut. I like to think that by accepting Jesus Christ as my Savior and following Him until the end, I would be singing Praises to Him in heaven for eternity and avoid hell.

Here are 4 theories, even though each religion has its own believes on what happens to our body and or soul at this event.

Maya

Every present moment is a past moment – that makes sense to me. Others have also said, “history is constantly being made with each moment that passes”.
Now the word Maya is translated to an illusion or magic and now describing ‘it is not’, deception. Knowing that Maya is the goddess of deception why do people worship and follow a deception, a lie? I have also known other religions follow murderers, I forgot what religion has a goddess of death. This goddess went around on a killing spree and it wasn't until she killed her husband that her thirst for blood was satisfied. There were people from a village that worshiped and had a festival for this goddess but what is the meaning behind following such a god? Could it be that they followed it because it was part of their culture and something that they grew up with, and that could also be said for most religions on this world.
Huskley’s believe that the mind was a filtering mechanism and that we could not function if all data streams where allowed in and if it did allowed we would become catatonic which means that we would come into a state of neurogenic motor immobility and would have abnormal manifested behavior. This brings the condition of Autism to mind. My son was diagnosed with Autism and when he was first diagnosed he had abnormal behavior manifestations and was not much responsive to the outside world.
The phantom neuron sensation, wow I have that, or it could be that the oral surgeon really messed up a nerve in my mouth. Because I still experience much pain in the area where the tooth was extracted and it has been months since the surgery took place. I've heard of this with patients that have lost limbs and neurologically feel that they still have that limb and actual pain in that missing body part. Now, could that also be part of our subconscious? Or can it be part of our constant sensation, if we have come accustomed to the pain or particular feeling? Does our mind create a Maya?

Nova

Nova on Evolution

Nova on Evolution was trying to be convincing. I just don’t get why they call the human bones that they found the evolved ape man? I mean I understand that he had some odd human characteristics, but we are not all the same. If we look at all the extremes in changes in characteristics between all the different populations, cultures around the world we could find links in evolution, if we want to arrange them in a way to make links. Just like a puzzle piece,  if you turn the piece around enough times where the color is similar and the form is about the same size you could make it fit if you tried hard enough. There could be a tribe on earth right now that could have the same characteristics as this being that was found. Also, they were describing the stature of this man according to what an average man’s height. He could be far from average. For example, my husband is above average in height and I am below average in height, compared to our population as a whole. He is 6’-3” and I am 4’-11”, our weights are also far from the population mean. The findings of the artifacts and an ancestor of our human race are exciting and worth investigating, but determining that this is a puzzle piece in our evolutionary chain that could be questioned.

Darwin?

Evolution by natural selection, as an extraordinary reality of our world?

I thought Evolution was still a theory? How can it now be our reality, doesn’t it have to be proven first? Evolution, if it happened took millions of years to happen. I thought evolution is for improvement and to form a better being. Extraordinary, have we become extraordinary in the past million years? How can an extraordinary developed being do so many horrific things, like killing its offspring, altering their consciousness with substances and purposely injuring themselves as a control mechanism? I just don’t understand, if we have mutated by natural selection into a better society that would function at a better capacity then our ancestors.
I know this is completely off subject, but it also brings to mind Hitler, how he was attempting to be the bigger force in selecting the best of the race (according to his standards) to rule and dominate the world.

Darwin's DNA

If we are basing that science is testable and thus its findings build its progression, so science is a building block in progress, this reminds me of a lego project. How can science be a building block in progress? Well it makes sense that the knowledge of science is accumulating as new revelations are made of how this world works. Even after all these years of research and discoveries, there is still so much to explore and discover about our planet earch.
Not all religions have verification; the Bible, in the other hand is not a religion, and has been verified  countlyess times against historical documentation and archeological findings. It has even been used as a road map for archeologist’s using it as a guide to find historic sites, time and time again the findings continue to fortify the Bible’s truths. As time also progresses, the Bible has shown how the future is unfolding. and has given us signs of what is to come. Before anyone knew that our structure what principally formed by the DNA in our body, the Bible made it clear that we were made up of things that could not be seen with the plain eye.

Interesting article that supports our building blocks, DNA.

Evolution Trilogy

Darwin redone? Probably because it had to be reshaped to fill the gaps in it’s transitional phase it contained.

Edited lives make sense. But how does deception edit us?  I believe deception comes from the father of confusion, satin. The editing that happens within a person that then in turn is inherited directly unto our offspring’s is when the old man within us is changed into a new creation. Most of us look back in our lives and try to change the mistakes and behaviors we have. In the process we try to be good role models and demonstrate to our offspring’s better behaviors and characteristics that they can mimic in place of our undesirable behaviors.

String Theory Potential

String theory has not been proven and is open to experiment. That is why it is potentially scientific. The sample that was given with the gulf ball and attempting to break it down to its smallest form was a great example that can be mimicked to everything else in life, in the attempt to breakdown to its smallest form. Giving us the possibility of testing the theory and actually giving it an opportunity to be proven. Now as a believer that our galaxy and the galaxies that are out in space are not formed by chance and or a big atomic bang, I do believe that a harmonic environment resounds throughout moving everything in motion. Because even the vibrating String had to have a Creator and had to be put into motion by something bigger than a random explosion.
The motion that each sting vibrates to have to be started by something, like a ripple of water had to be started by an object or a drop of water touching still water. Proportion is not just there it has to be set into proportion, and what causes it to be perpetual? Does it ever end? How about when it hits another string, like the heart has its own current and can be offset if another pulse wave interrupts it. Can that happen to the string? And if so how that would be affected, what would change? Will it react like our attempt to view an electron in motion and offset the vibrating string like the heart or electron?

Human Limits!

We should understand that we are limited in our earthly bodies and minds. The knowledge that we have obtained throughout the years and the ideas that come to mind together with the ability to form complex equations and solve them is amazing in itself. We are enlightened to the knowledge that we have obtained because it is not from our own abilities but through a bigger source of power that we are able to even breathe. Now what that Power may be, individuals have different ideas. My mom always said each mind is a world in its own. So their ideals, enlightments and believe of power sources will differ, even the measure of limitations we each have.

The Elegant Universe

String theory: the holy grail of modern physics. We may be living in a universe of 11 dimensions with parallel dimensions.
I don’t argue the fact that there is a possibility of having other dimensions or that the universe is a cosmic symphony vibrating in harmony with each other. What kind of beings live within those dimensions, some have suggested angels. Also, Who or What sets off the rhythm and tone of the vibration? But the idea that Quantum Mechanics being a game of chance, how can we all be just because of chance?

An Elegant Universe, how possibly can an Elegant Universe be formed by chance? Attempting to form something out of many vibrating small things, make it work and elegant is pretty far-fetched. Caose forming order, rhythm, mathimatical accuracy and ultimatly having it turn out to be a Universe and Elegant to top it off.

Eliminative Materialism: God did it? Videos 1-3

God did it? When phenomenon cannot explain by any form of science then the explination has to be that God did it!

The death of Thor and all other mystical gods: The thunder god, was eliminated with the understanding of electric magnetism came about. The same happened with the idea that spirits where the cause of illness and come to find out that it has been attributed to bacteria.

Reason Writ Large: illuminative materialism is reason with logic. This has been applied to everything, but we do not want to apply it to ourselves.

This web site seems to answer deeper in the “God did it? Phenomenon.

Quantum Thinking

Where and how the electron is really moving, no one really knows. We only know they orbit around a nucleus, in layers consisting of orbital shells. Where on that orbit do they reside or are moving we are not sure. As scientist attempt to view the electrons in motion, with their instruments, it off sets the electron orbital movement.

Electric Surfing

Our universe is composed of billions of atoms and those atoms contain protons, elections and neutrons. Protons that are positively charged and electrons that are negatively charged attract each other and aim to be in a state of balance. Nature likes to be balanced the continuum of restoring that balance produces energy. This energy conversion happens everywhere around us and within us. This is also the principle used for us getting electricity into our homes to how the impulses in our body travel to and from our center nervous system. This action does not just happen in our nervous system but in every sense, action within our body. From our heart beating, our eye sight, hearing down to each cell in our body maintaining equilibrium with Potassium(K+) and Sodium(Na-) balance.

What is matter?

Matter is what our physical is made of but we are much more than that. The fact that we feel emotions and have desires encourages the notion that there is more to us than a physical form.

I agree that the trouble isn't with matter, but the reduction others want to impose to that matter.

When that matter can do such extraordinary things, we can do extraordinary things.

We are not just made of little things that giggle, but much more, because the little things that giggle will soon be transformed into something different but our spiritual sense will continue.

What is the Chandian Effect? How did Faqir Chand come to realize the secret behind religious visions?

The Chandian Effect is the imagery that one's subconscious presents when in meditation. We can be searching for an answer and our subconscious can develop an image or thought with a bases on what we have taught it to believe or imagine. Faqir Chand realized the secret behind religious visions when returning from the battle field and his comrades began to worship him instead of their guru. Claiming that Faqir had come to them in the war field giving them guidance and hope. When in reality Faqir in his own trouble did not even give them any thought. So he accounts their visions to their imaginations.

Nietzsche's Myth of Eternal Recurrence

Do you want this? Living the same life over and over again, with both pain and joys that have been lived throughout your life time. The thought of having to go through our pains again and continue to repeat them over and again seems unbearable, insane. I am sure the thought of repeating our joys would be great but most of us try to avoid any kind of pain. Some could say that joys are accompanied by pain and with no pain there could be no joy in the accomplishments we have in life.

There have been many television shows that have portrayed eternal recurrence of life, mostly by one day, and the characters that notice and live the recurrence seem to enjoy the first few times around but after a few they realize the craziness of doing the same things over and over. Even in this one life we live people cannot seem to accept certain repetitive behaviors in their lives. Like going to the office on a set schedule, and doing the same kind of work day in and day out, they consider that an insane life style. Others find the repetition to be a sense of security.

Flipped #1 How can the conflict between religion and science bepartially resolved by developing a better and richer understanding ofthe word "matter"?

Scientifically our brain is a form of matter, with many neurological pathways that transfer information though our body signaling many simultaneous reactions. It might seems as if we are like computers, just processing information. The difference between us and computers are the needs and desires we have for companionship. The need for each person to be with others and socialize is so important that when it is difficult for a person to be mobile and are not able to step out into society for interactions with others their health both mental and physical begin to deteriorate. These can be companioned by feelings of loneliness and lead to feelings of worthlessness.

Feelings of worthlessness come from deep within us. But where exactly is deep within us? Some call it a conscious that partakes in our actions, others refer to it as a soul. The soul has been associated with spirituality and religion. Religion teaches that the soul lives forever, unlike the body that dies. The continuum of the soul, which cannot be explained, could very well be the source of our conscious and the bases of our moral grounds.

Either/Or: a primer on existentialism

Soren Kierkegaard’s view of “do it or do not do it –you will regret both,” makes sense since most people are fearful to make choices in their lives. For example: when choosing to marry the love of your life, because they might have that doubt if the person they are marrying is the right one. Another example could be if the person or couple is ready to have and raise children. Some people are so afraid to get something wrong they do nothing because of the fear to fail. This brings us back to “do it,” and you will see the challenge that it can be and regret the time and expense that taking a chance has cost.  Not doing it will likewise bring the regret of ‘what if…’. By being too afraid to step out and attempting to do something, anything, for the rest of their lives that person can live in regret never knowing what the possibilities could have been in their lives. Lastly, when deciding to do something or not one should weigh the pros against the cons. Then determine if it is worth taking the risk of taking the next step.

J.P.S. view of “Freedom is what you do with what’s been done to you.” Now, can we interpret that we do in return with what has happened to us in life? We all make choices in life, but how much does what has happened to us in the past influence our choices now? I’m sure we make our choices in life with the knowledge of our past life experience, but do we always pay back what’s been done to us and in what way? We can go either way, paying back with the wrong our past has wronged us or we can turn the wrongs that have been done to us as experience of how not to do to others. I prefer to do the later of the two.
